AUTOMATIC METER READING/ ADVANCED METERING INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEM (AMR/AMI) MCALESTER PUBLIC WORKS AUTHORITY MCALESTER, OKLAHOMA * * * * * * * * * ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that the McAlester Public Works Authority will receive sealed bids in their offices located at 28 E. Washington Ave, P.O. Box 578, McAlester, OK 74502, until 10:00 a.m. on July 12, 2016 furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, services, and incidentals for performing all work necessary for: The project will consist of the purchase and installation of approximately 8,000 water meters with an Advanced Metering Infrastructure System. Bidders must bid on all items of the contract. The whole work under this contract will be awarded as a single contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the work. No bid may be withdrawn for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Plans and Specifications are on file and can be seen and obtained online at http://www.hubengineers.com or at the Broken Arrow office of Holloway, Updike and Bellen, Inc. 905-A South 9th Street, Broken Arrow, OK, 74012; (918) 251-0717. Payment Options: Online Download $30.00 or ½ size Paper Set $45.00, none of which are refundable. All checks shall be made payable to Holloway, Updike&Bellen, Inc. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, or Cashier's Check upon any solvent Bank or Trust Company, payable without reserve to the McAlester Public Works Authority, Oklahoma, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid security of the two low bidders will be retained until approval of contract and execution of satisfactory bonds by the successful bidder, or until other disposition on the bids is made. BIDDER must purchase plans and specifications from Holloway, Updike and Bellen, Inc. either directly for paper plans and specifications or through our website for download. BIDDER must be on plan holders list at Holloway, Updike and Bellen, Inc. in order to submit a bid. The bonds required will be a Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond, each in the full amount of the contract. The Authority will not accept letters of credit in lieu of any bond required herein. A MANDATORY pre-bid conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on June 23, 2016 at the McAlester City Council Room located at The McAlester Public Works Authority, 28 E. Washington Ave, McAlester, OK 74501. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with the Oklahoma Competitive Bidding Act. Conditional bids shall not be accepted. The attention of all bidders is called to the fact that they must meet the requirements and bid in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma governing public works contracts. This project is to be paid for by local funds. The bidder (Proposer) must supply all the information required by the bid and proposal form including completion of affidavits or his bid will be considered incomplete and therefore rejected. The Owner may request of any bidder, before his bid is considered for award, that he submit a statement of facts as to his previous experience in performing work of the same character and magnitude, as to his business and technical organization, and financial resources and plant available and to be use in performing the contemplated work. Each bidder must have such information, together with a recent financial statement, available upon request.
